In more than 75 years on the market, Faber has come a long way from an up-and-coming Viennese two-wheeler shop to a renowned importer and is now an indispensable part of the Austrian two-wheeler industry. Ever since it was founded in 1948, the company has been characterised by our fascination for two-wheelers – an enthusiasm that was kindled by our company founder, who himself was a very successful participant in motorbike races.
Today, Faber embodies not only tradition and a decades-long success story, but also a deep connection to the “fascination of two-wheelers”. This passion and the clear demand for quality and the pursuit of joie de vivre, freedom and quality of life through two-wheelers is what drives us. Faber’s DNA also reflects the Italian joie de vivre that is conveyed by every motorbike and every scooter.
The Faber brand not only stands for first-class products, but also for an attitude to life. The freedom and the special quality of life that two-wheelers make possible are not just traded and sold at Faber, they are experienced and shared. At Faber, tradition and modernity come together to offer our customers unique and unforgettable two-wheeler experiences. Welcome to Faber, where the fascination for two-wheelers has been alive for 75 years.

As the Austrian general importer of the Piaggio Group brands, the Faber GmbH has been able to maintain its role as a domestic market shaper for more than 75 years. With the top brands Piaggio, Vespa, Moto Guzzi and Aprilia (only in CZ and SK), Faber represents three major two-wheeler brands and thus holds around 29% of the total two-wheeler market and around 46% in the scooter segment.
Faber covers the entire Austrian market with around 180 partners in the motorised two-wheeler specialist trade. The company sells around 12,000 two-wheelers a year and has already marketed over 200,000 of the well-known two-wheelers since taking over the first Piaggio general agency in 1964.
With the expansion into the Czech Republic in 2017, Faber Moto s.r.o. was founded as a subsidiary. Since then, it has acted as the general importer of the Vespa, Piaggio, Moto Guzzi and Aprilia brands. In 2021, Faber Moto SK s.r.o. was founded for the general import of Piaggio Group vehicles to Slovakia.
In addition to its core business, Faber GmbH has also been successfully positioning itself as a reliable and innovative partner for fleet services for several years. The advantages of two-wheelers as an alternative or supplementary vehicle for a fleet in the delivery sector, in company transport or in the employee fleet are obvious: significantly lower procurement costs, manoeuvrability, speed, exemption from parking charges and, of course, the fun factor for users. What’s more, two-wheelers emit less CO2 and therefore have less of an impact on the environment.
As the parent company of all operating companies, Faber Holding is responsible for administrative tasks. Administration, finance, accounting, IT, human resources and marketing are integrated into the holding company.
Since the 2024 season, Faber KFZ-Vertriebs GmbH has been offering passionate two-wheelers everything their Italophile heart desires in the FABER HALL, the new premium location in Vienna’s 23rd district. Sales and service for the Vespa, Piaggio and Moto Guzzi brands as well as high-quality accessories for vehicles and riders are all on offer.
Already in May 2020, Faber KfZ-Vertriebs GmbH opened a flagship store at Praterstraße 47 in Vienna 2 after extensive remodelling of the premises.
The two-wheeler brands Vespa, Piaggio and Moto Guzzi are presented in all their splendour in a modern, stylish ambience. The City Store offers vehicle sales, merchandising and accessories as well as a workshop for small repairs and services.
